High-end, rustic taverna decorated with legs of prosciutto, famed for pasta served in steel pans.

Pianostrada
Owned and run by a team of four women (a mother with her friend and two daughters), Pianostrada started as a teeny tiny destination down a winding alley in Trastevere—a location they quickly outgrew as lines started to build up down the street. Last year, they made the move across the river to a cool little area in Centro Strada, just far enough from the touristy craziness to offer a quiet dinner. The interior is bright, comfortable, and unfussy, with a lovely internal garden that's perfect in the warmer months. The menu leans on crazy-fresh ingredients sourced from the farms around Rome, and every category, from fritti to pasta, is gorgeously executed. Definitely don't miss the panini, which are made on bread that the chefs bake in-house daily.
